I do think CCPS has a policy where you can't name a school after anyone alive. Some kind of 30 years after death policy probably gives time to contextualize a person. I would not have a problem with Barack Obama having an elementary school named after him in 2100, but while he was a sitting president? Not my idea of a good idea.
That being said, there are plenty of neighborhood names you could slap on neighborhood schools, along with plenty of amorphous things that vaguely represent Richmond or Virginia you could use. Dogwood Elementary. Cardinal Middle. Forest Hill High.

Just got my last passing grade for the CPA exam so this weekend will probably be biking, playing Destiny 2, and thinking about what's next.

If I was crazy enough to attempt to run a counter service establishment I think I would do a wage with monthly 15% revenue share.

Oddly enough, I was waiting for a flight one day when I saw a Delaware North rep doing a walk-through of changing away from Caribou and was waiting for this to finally come. Glad it was this. At the end of the day, it will still be mediocre operators but hopefully supplying the shops won't be as abysmal as they were under caribou.

I only ever had consoles until I got a DS lite, so Pokemon Stadium and Snap for the N64 were my only childhood touchstones.

Yeah, the storefront faces the CVS and is on the back of the Cary side, it's essentially the Nasemond storefront.

My dream would essentially turn Franklin/Monument into an East-West bike highway that runs from Willow Lawn to Main Street Station. Mixture of tunnels under bigger roads, and 2/3 of secondary streets that intersect it with modal filters and the remainder with bike-priority signal and intersection design.

If this city had a high supply of cash and didn't know what to do with it, one thing I would spend it on would be a bike lane tunnel under Belivdere for the Franklin lanes east of Franklin that pops the lanes out on the Monroe Park side of the street until Monument. I can't imagine riding a bike through that with any considerable speed even on a green light.

there actually are lane designs where buses and commercial vehicles can straddle a pit, and passenger vehicles fall into them. i don’t know how well they work in america with all of the lifted trucks.

I very genuinely think the best thing to do would be to design roads in a way that it would get intentionally bad drivers into one car accidents that affect no other person.

Yeah it’s a midwest chain; my understanding is that some guy from richmond had it out there and liked it enough to bring it back here. It’s not life changing, but it’s probably the best fried chicken you can get in a fast casual environment. Potato wedges and sauces carry it over the line.
