Its definitely impressive, but kinda sad thar such an old east coast city lacks the neo deco buildings of other big cities in the north east...for as small as Newark's skyline is at the moment, it does provide a much more varied skyline with a prominent building from a wide range of architectural styles

For me was the idea that it was just not a good pre event place. The wait for food was way too long

Yeah, its just as bad in the outer boroughs or upper manhattan... it doesn't make sense since the regions urban areas don't really go to bed and have people going between the neighborhoods

True, but Newark's land around the penn is still highly underdeveloped, so it can definitely add another 20 to 30k apartments in the area.
