I used to have a commute that was ~1 hour each way, thankfully only twice a week though. I hated it. It drained my soul.
My commute now is 30 minutes each way once a week, all other days WFH. I will never go back to wasting hours in the car each week.

Reply to LGBT friendly places to work? by FuckPrinevilleOR
I'd imagine that the food service industry in this town is pretty friendly, especially if you're a decent worker. Restaurants and bars are having such a hard time finding people that any sensible owner or manager will value any good employee.
Customers are more likely to be an issue if you're a server. If you're exposed to enough people you'll eventually run into some assholes.

Right. I'm sure it's because of Fox 45 that suburbanites have a negative image of Baltimore, not the fact that the city currently has the same murder rate as El Salvador.

Not wanting people to illegally ride dirtbikes on streets doesn't make people NIMBYs.

As far as I can tell the City Paper archive is gone. I was trying to find an old archive a few months ago, it was nowhere to be found.

I think a better question is does anyone really like the Rusty Scupper? It's one of those so-so restaurants that gets by on its great location.

Yeah, Amtrak is a way more pleasant way of going to NYC. It's a shame that their last minute tickets are so pricey.

Reply to Voting in the city - pro tips by MazelTough
The real pro tip is to vote in advance by mail. I'm never bothering with going to an actual polling place again.
