"Police started a pursuit, but they ended it soon after because the car was being driven at a dangerous speed, police said."

He did get away, should have stayed away, LOL Then claim he loaned out his car, it was taken by unauthorized person, he didn't realize until the next day, etc. But no.... he kept trying to get caught, and did, LOL

LINCOLN, N.H. —

More than 40 students from the United Kingdom, who were visiting New Hampshire, last week, are stuck in the United States after their school said their passports were destroyed at the hotel, where the group was staying.

Kate Hibbs, the head teacher of Barr Beacon Head School in Wallsall, England told News 9 on Sunday that 42 students and 4 staff members are currently waiting in New York to receive their emergency documents after 41 of their passports were destroyed by the hotel.

They were on a ski trip that started on Feb. 17, and were expected to return home on Feb. 25.

An itinerary for the trip, posted school website, said that the students were staying at the Kancamagus Lodge, which is in Lincoln.

A representative for the hotel told News 9 that she had no comment to share about the situation.

At this time, the students have a safe place to stay in New York. However, Hibbs said funds for their trip are starting to run low, given the unexpected four-day extension.

One parent said that the situation has been incredibly stressful, as he awaits word on when his son will be able to come back to the U.K.

Great discussion! Thanks to OP for posting and starting this discussion.

I've lived in S NH since the mid 80s and have noticed power failures getting more common. (I recall getting out my portable Honda generator for a failure and noticing that I had last serviced it and put it away ten year previous! Now it seems to be a yearly occurrence.)

I'm thinking hard about solar but live in a neighborhood with a HOA that may prevent solar from showing from the street. My house faces south, so need to do more research into les visible.

If using V2G how do you make the decision to stop and keep some range for the vehicle?

So how did you do the math on what size to get? Add up the critical items (In my case well pump, furnace, fridge) add in some other circuits, assuming you wont be using everything at once. My house has a 200 amp panel (200 amps X 120 volts = 24,000 watts, but all breakers aren't used, subtract big ones like 30s for welder, air compressor, hot tub...)

I realize this is not a slick total house solution, those are $6-12,000. Still any would be a step up from my 1,500 watt 30 year old Honda that requires moving the cord around to power the fridge after coffee is made...

Most shops I have dealt with will re-inspect at no charge. What were the items that failed the first time and the second time? Is it possible these items happened in the 60 days after the first inspection.

There is a reason these places are called 'Stealerships'... Lots of real estate, big expenses, need lots of $ to keep going, for many with older vehicles, not the best value.
