But, he makes it for Governer who gifts it to Norrington. Norrington gives it to Will. Beckett takes it and and keeps it with him. Then, gives it to Norrington, Norrington stabs Davy Jones with it. He takes it and then, eventually stabs Will with it. He dies.
It comes full circle. I get that part. It's its journey i am wondering about.

This kinda makes sense.
Tia Delma does say a touch of destiny to him twice.
It was a ceremonial sword, too. Maybe it signifies new beginnings or ending of one this and beginning of another? That would make sense with the events too actually.
