Agreed. And, while the intent may have been lighthearted, I've met people who took "reader's rights" very seriously--seriously enough to invoke them constantly and without a trace of humor. Once in a lonely while, yes, but I've never known many serious readers. I have known a lot of people who spend hours watching reruns of The King of Queens (or some such) while insisting that they just don't have time to read.
