Yes, i would say so.
The k72 are just a failure.
Hd200 pro are one of those weird Sennheiser closed backs, resembles aspects of the early momentums/hd400s and crappy entry level "studio" closed backs, so pretty lacking pinna gain, honky midrange, big phase cancellation dip at ~4khz, dip in the lower midrange, not much upper treble and a big, muddy bass.
Not the worst thing ever, but still at the very bottom of Sennheiser's releases.
Zsn pro x are just your standard chifi iem, bloated, not very dampened, and the zsn line in particular is really treble heavy and harsh.
The AirPods pro are the only ones in here that actually have some semblance of "balanced" sound.

Yeah, not all AKGs are the same, i also have a pair of k371s (wired ones tho) and they're pretty good, i like them a lot (even their build quality, haven't had problems) but the k52/72/92 are probably among the worst "known brand" over ear headphones.

Huh? It at least made a bit of sense if the senn were an upgrade from the AKG, but not the opposite, the K52/72/92 line is an actual dumpster fire.
>worries, everything was less than 100 bucks
Still respect your choices if you're happy with the equipment, but, even those "400 bucks" comments aside, the headphones you bought are all considered mediocre at best in their own price ranges, with those $100 you could've gotten some creative aurvana live and some ksc75 / kph30i, along with the kz (keeping the kz since a lot of people start with those bc dankpods, and maybe you bought them before the big sub $20 Iem improvements that came after the moondrop chu)
But yeah, i would honestly just return the k72 if it's not too late

I honestly was thinking they're already kinda dying, or at least soon to die because unless manufacturers make a proper use of the bass DD, they don't get much hype, aren't a compelling buy and probably don't make a lot of sales.
Although, now that I think about it, they maybe are relevant whenever crin's "project red" drops, and i guess moondrop, kz and other brands still haven't gotten their hands In a 2DD setup, so who knows.

Yep, there's not really a way to know what's happening, but it's still funny seeing companies try to market 2DD IEMs while missing the point they're popular in the first place.
>I'm not really impressed with Chifi other than Hifiman performance (not QC).
It's definitely a lot of hype train, but there's definitely improvements going on, and while they have maybe lost their "impressive" factor, i think most models are still pretty good sounding, around the best you can get in the price range, and making diminishing returns hit earlier.

I wouldn't say so, there's plenty of decent options far from Harman, although it's definitely an endless rabbit hole.

Yeah, i honestly was a bit positive on them considering Sean's measurements and some of the feedback, but on more standard squig link rigs, they just seem like a generic undampened DD

Can't guarantee anything, everyone has a different experience with this stuff, at least in my case, i was definitely mind blown, you could not, who knows, although if you say "blow my mind even on the cheapest of headsets." I'm quite positive.
>Really struggling to understand the ease of drivability
Unless you have like a really, really bad source , they should be fine.
>Please bear in mind I am in England so I think the Dongles here are the Undervolted EU ones.
In that case, i would rather look into other Dongles, maybe from tempotec

Yeah, the hyperX are honestly on the better side of gaming headphones, not bad.
If you want to upgrade, there's things to have in mind, some sound preferences, and just keeping in mind that "real" headphones could not impress you or blow you away, specially at first listen.
That being said, if you're after neutral sound, and open backs, the hd560s/6xx is among the safest recommendation to give you a glimpse of all the good stuff associated with more "serious" headphones.
But it's always better if you have an audio store to try stuff out, or at least be sure you can return your purchases.
I would recommend that I'd you have more questions or want more advice, make a post in r/headphoneadvice instead on crowding the comments in a post lol
