I expected full selfdriving, more clean energy, and advanced home robots by now.
I did not expect microsoft claiming their ai showing hints of agi.
Its a wild ride thats for sure

If it does the dishes every day it would not take long.
I used to do the dishes manually every day for 10years. It does not take long unless you let it stack up over time.
I just want my robot butler please ;) That can do all tasks a human can

You dont need a machine for dishes if you have a robot for it ;)

1 humanoid robot could do all the things. It could bake bread, oh, we forgot flour, the robot could then go to the store and buy some. Then it can clean the house, keep us company, walk the dog, make dinner, do the dishes.
A humanoid robot smart enough to do every day tasks would be awsome. I would gladly pay equally as much for one as i do for a car

I look forwars to ai and machines taking over as much as possible of healthcare. AI that is never tired, never have a bad day, never distracted would be a huge comfort to me.
I really dont trust people (i have had several bad experiences with bad doctors)

Probably a good idea to not cooperate with authoritarian dictatorships as a country in the west?
China wants to replace the US as Hegemon, how do we think that will go for global peace and stability...
Fuck China, fuck Russia, Iran, North Korea and all of the places that align with them The liberal world needs to understand we are in an ideological war vs autocracy/authoritarianism.

I fully agree, our only potential enemy is Russia and there is zero chance of them opening a front in northern Norway.
So we only really need to keep enough to be able to do our duties with international operations and keep some for training to avoid losing competence.
Everything else, send it to Ukraine.
Hopefully Rødt will fall under the sperregrense again. So embarrasing that they have had this much support with their anti nato, anti west, pro russia stance... Even with all the fire they have been under they still refuse to sign on to weapon aid to Ukraine.

Taxi is way to expensive yes also not needed since i have no problem affording a car. I drive a prius hybrid due to keeping the environment in mind and the next car i hope will electric. I doubt my next car will be selfdriving but i hope the one after the next one will be.
When selfdriving becomes normal many people might have the car work as a taxi when its not needed by the owner. This might reduce the price of transport alot, making it easy and cheap enough for people to be able to drop car ownership if they dont want to. (you would just order a ride through an app and it will collect the nearest selfdriving car that is awailable)

The buss is filled with strangers and many struggle in this situation (myself included) due to social anxiety, fear of getting sick or any other reason people may have. The bus is not the answer for everyone
I have not been on the buss regulary for like 10-15 years and i dont plan to change this if i can avoid it ;)

Reply to Would a corporation realistically release an AGI to the public? by Shiningc
People hate this argument usually, but i see a role for government here. If a company makes a true agi, that company will be visited by the govt real fast. (Im in Scandinavia, so my govt doing this is not very scary)
Now, depending on the govt who do the visiting this may or may not be a good thing. But there is atleast a chance government regulation will lead to better outcomes than Microsoft taking over the world.
