Sure legalize it. Just make sure everyone who is gambling gives their social security number to the state so when they get addicted and go bankrupt the state doesn’t have to pay all their social services. This whole crap about increased revenue doesn’t factor in the increased costs to the state.

Get a third opinion from someone who knows wood stoves and chimneys but is not an inspector. Chimney inspectors are extremely litigious minded and for good reasons and state everything possibly wrong to cover their asses.

To me, having a non insulated SS liner inside a chimney is not a big deal if it you can properly clean it, it is safely surrounded by brick and is capped at the top.

A lot of this depends on the efficiency of the wood stove and the location of the stove in the house but even if the wood stove is supplemented with oil it makes a huge difference in cost savings in my house.
