My parents ended up co-parenting very well together, fortunately. After many years they got along really well together too. I suspect my dad never stopped loving her, but it was a complicated situation.
Once when I was in my 20s they were drinking together and I overheard them talking about how proud they both were of me and my sister.

He had an INSANE wardrobe throughout the 80’s and 90’s. Lots of tanks that showed his nipples lol. Some mesh crop tops.
