He'll live. Stingray venom is extremely painful but it's nonlethal unless it punctures vital organs directly or the victim undergoes shock or some other reaction, which is quite rare

The "split" you see is the actual barb entering his skin. Stingray barbs protrude from the tail and are exposed at all times
