Dealing with the state sucks. They hire the bottom of the barrel for most public facing roles and it shows.

Reply to Should I be claimed as a dependent or not? by [deleted]
As the other commenter stated, this is a fact based question. It’s not about who will save money. It’s not something you get to decide. Based on your comments and post, you are likely a dependent for federal tax purposes. Google the tests for being a dependent and see if that’s how you should be classified.

I’m a healthcare M&A attorney. It’s all about money. They get better reimbursement in the larger setting and they can also sell out to private equity for a massive payout.

The robberies happened in the “Tuxedo Park” neighborhood, specifically S. Centre Street. Which is like a neighborhood with million plus dollar homes. But it borders Newark. The gunshots happened on Wilden Place and Ward Place. South Orange would be a nice town but it’s got trash ghetto towns on practically all sides. Newark, Irvington, East Orange, Orange - all horrible towns and right next door. I’m not a fan of Essex County in general because of the bad areas.

Lived in South Orange for four years. Woke up to gunshots multiple times. Home was robbed 3 times in a year.

$125k is middle class. So is $150k-200k. If you have a household income under like $70k in NJ you’re lower class.

Maybe. Precision of language is important. But I take it you’re a college freshman? You have a lot to learn.

I mean I’m not disagreeing that mean is usually synonymous with average. But median and mode are also types of average. See also the first sentences here: https://www.open.edu/openlearn/mod/oucontent/view.php?id=20669§ion=2.1

I think it sounds low. I’m 29 and make $150k and based on those around me I’m pretty average.

Incorrect. Mean, median, and mode are all different ways of looking at average.

Agreed. I have babies at home but we keep it at 70 year round. I’ll even have it up to 72 at times. Not enough savings to be worth the discomfort. Penny wise dollar foolish.
