My family is currently living in Vernon Hill with a baby (<1yr old). It's definitely working class and as previously said it can get a little loud due to the density of people. Also, parking can be a pain, especially during a parking ban if you don't have a driveway. We've never felt unsafe or had any reason for concern. We're also a younger family so we don't go out at night and pretty much keep to ourselves.
We're also new to MA in general so we really only have our hometown (FL) to compare to. The comments keep saying that Worcester is a big city but my family's first impression was the opposite when we first got here.
