I'm confused as well. Haven't watched Charmed, since i was a teenager, but she was always my favorite character. Really surprised she gets hate.

I thought Dawson was so much worse in earlier seasons. I get that he was a teenager, but he was so awful and hard too root for, especially in season 3 with the whole love triangle. But I'm biased, since i really liked Pacey.

In the beginning I disliked her, but in the end I loved her. I think overall she was a really good written character.

Reply to It has been more than a week since the first season of The Last of Us ended. What are your thoughts and opinions about it? by mrnicegy26
I haven't played the game and l liked it, but I thought the beginning of the show was the strongest part. The pilot was great especially the first half and the second episode was also amazing. The infected felt like a actual threat in this episode and some good action l. Episode 3 was a great standalone episode that made me cry so much really unexpected.
The middle part of the season was the weakest. It wasn't bad, but it had pacing issues and I wish the infected would have been more of an issue. Also I wished we would have spent a little bit more time with just the main characters. The character development for Joel happened to fast for me in the end I think in the end the show would have benefitted from a few more episodes maybe 12 or at least 10.
Overall I still think it's a good show with some flaws, but still a I'm looking forward to season 2

I would recommend some older shows like The OC, Skins (UK) or s1-4 seasons one tree hill. Gossip girl ( the og) was also a classic.
If you like supernatural shows Buffy the vampire Slayer is the best. Also the early seasons of the vampire diaries are fun
When it comes to new shows there is outer banks, ginny georgia and sex education.

I usually have a show I watch with my husband and then I have a show I watch by myself. I also sometimes rewatch random episodes or seasons of comfort tv shows If I don't want to pay attention for something new. So I do have different shows running, but not that many.

Characters overhearing exactly the wrong words for drama. It's always such a plot convenience and an annoying miscommunication trope.

The woman (2008) doesn't pass the test, but the movie isn't really good. Man still have a prominent role in the plot and control the woman's life without being on screen. They about man a a lot. But it passes regular bechdel test and doesn't pass the reverse bechdel test.

I agree it's a problem. Especially with a lot Netflix shows, since it takes forever to drop a new season. I binge watched dark when it was already over, but I would have gotten lost definitely. With some tv shows with a easier plot to follow and you can jump back right in.

Reply to Why do kid some characters get so much hate for acting like kids. Especially in traumatizing situations. by nickytheginger
I think it's they are only a handful good written and acted kids on tv. It's hard to write for kids and the acting isn't as good. Sometimes kids gets used for the plot only to cause drama for the adult characters or kids gets used for comedic relief, but they barely have actual personality. I don't think it has anything to do with acting like kids. The best child on a tv show is in my opinion Sally draper on Mad Men, because while she caused drama between adult characters she still had her own arc and was complex character with personality. I don't think she ever gets any hate. The character and actress gets a lot of praise. It's just really hard to write for kids and casting child actors is definitely hard.
