No, showing up to traffic court is much easier than doing any other work. If the officer has an excused absence (and sometimes without an excuse) the judge will reschedule your court date.

This is no plea bargaining in NYC traffic court. Save yourself some time and just pay the fine.

ANY driver caught by a red light camera has to pay $50. Red light runners caught by the police/TLC will pay higher fines.
