The problem isn’t really the sticker. Just a failure of correction during a work order. Traffic & Engineering placed the initial sign where the Hydrant is which is obviously no parking anytime (also why the yellow stripes/red curb are there). This is back when you could stop further up to the light when driving (see the faded line where the white vehicle is turning).

If you notice the newer bold (and messy) white line in Google Maps where traffic flow is supposed to come to a stop at that light is placed further away from the corner due to turning traffic. They failed to black out the old one and failed to update signage. So not only are you supposed to stop at that line when driving but you shouldn’t be parking past it either. That’s why the secondary sign is there.

When they changed the stop line for traffic, they should’ve fully corrected the signs & paint.

& Yes the Nissan can be ticketed. Don’t park past a stop line.
