Do you already have a place to live? Our son and his fiancé lived near Spy Pond, and it was a lovely place to live near. They moved to find a larger place (their place was literally about a 2575 sf apartment.). If you haven’t looked for an apartment/home yet, be prepared for sticker shock. There are some decent photos of Spy Pond here: https://leokrut.com/e-vault/album/spy_pond/park.html Schools are generally great. Eating out in Greater Boston is pricey, but there are lots of options. Highly recommend The Science Museum (reduced tickets at the library, or become members) - I really loved going there when our kids were little - there is a lot of Hands on, and it was easy to push a stroller while our older child explored. They have a room especially for young children. The best food stores : Market Basket in Somerville or Wegmans in Medford. I like the choices and prices at Costco, and there are a few around, but perhaps too far out for you?

Beautyrest plush electric blanket. We've tried a few over the years - this was recommended because of the low emf (electric blankets create an electric field - this one less.) You don't want a throw, because they usually go off after 3 hours. We bought one for our old kitty, and we love keeping the house cooler. It has up to 10 hours before it shuts off. We bought a second one this year, for a guest bed. https://www.target.com/p/plush-electric-blanket-beautyrest/-/A-51435195?preselect=51389066#lnk=sametab

In case anyone wants to see, and cannot because of the paywall, here are the actual charts on the MWRA: https://www.mwra.com/biobot/biobotdata.htm. I'm concerned about the hospitals and their strained capacity due to RSV (and to a lesser extent, flu). Local pediatricians are calling for mitigation efforts; one of the recommendations is "“Anyone gathering in crowded indoor spaces, including children who are symptomatic, should consider wearing a mask,” - that article was 11/17/22 https://www.boston.com/news/health/2022/11/17/massachusetts-rsv-physician-groups/ - kids are sneezing and coughing all over the place in crowded stores/schools, and very few are wearing masks. Even with so many being fully vaccinated/boosted, with the current strain on hospitals it is concerning with that wastewater data showing an upswing at such a steep rate of climb.
