Nuclear bombs are a ludicrous amount of energy potential, and if something goes wrong, it goes really wrong.
This is stupid.

With the new Apple Watch Ultra it’s kind of up to your preference. I was a Garmin guy for a while because they did what I needed for hiking and running but the ultra can now do that stuff so I switched for the social features.
Garmin will still get better battery life if you ever need to be off grid more than a couple of days but I don’t do thru hiking anymore and the ultra is literally a phone on your wrist.

I think it will work out but maybe not at the scale he is hoping. Meaning sports betting apps will advertise happily but maybe not companies like Disney.
I agree though, it will be interesting to see in ten years.

Bruh. Controlled speech is the literal antithesis to free speech.

I don’t have the expertise to say but I think it is the most likely scenario.
Managing networks of hundreds of millions of people is impossible, especially with how nuanced the English language is. It would be a massive liability.
They would have to have a very restrictive and isolated version of a platform that wouldn’t even accept different words, phrases, and the problem is even harder with images and videos so those would probably be gone too.
Not an expert by any means just my two cents. From my understanding, it’s incredibly hard to police everything internally and AI moderation just isn’t where it needs to be. If a company is held liable for what end users do with their product or service, they will stop providing it.

But he hasn’t asked anyone to buy any…. They’ve bought all their own land for testing and repeatedly stated it’s just a concept and not to put a lot of weight behind it.
Edit: again, you guys are weird with this hate boner. Downvote and lie all you want.

Hasn’t Elon repeatedly said the Boring Company is a hobby company that he doesn’t spend a lot of time on and that tunnels to ease congestion are a long way away and too expensive for most cities?
I’d like to see more specifics about what specific promises aren’t being kept besides Boring marketing hyping up its theoretical usability.
Edit: Honestly, you guys are as equally weird with your hate boner has the fan boys with love boners. I’m not a “fan” by any measure but I know damn well they have cautioned everyone that this was a very aloof concept that won’t happen anytime soon, as well as a marketing tool for Tesla since electrics could be in sealed tunnels easier than ICE vehicles. Some of these comments are claiming he is scamming cities and breaking promises, like what promises did Boring make to any city?
