Saw that this weekend! Definitely going to stop there next time I’m on the road and need a snack.

Edit: Rooney is my OB. She’s great and her assistant (forget her name just now) is even more amazing!

If you don’t rent a carpet cleaner, get the Arm and Hammer pet carpet stuff (comes in a box kinda like baking soda). It’s a good pet-smell deodorizer and smells a helluva lot better than Old Pet.
Get a vacuum.

National and Sunshine, perhaps? I’m guessing a collision, with which the “new planning” will not help at all. Just more accidents, pedestrian, cyclists, and otherwise.

Starbucks was in Chicago (and not even Down Town); Tim Horton’s in Ontario (but also not quite Down Town).

Krispy Kreme has a business model in which they don’t saturate their market, per se. As in, their stores have to be so many miles apart based on population and customer base.
Trader Joe’s might be analogous, but they’re a bit more pretentious about it.

I have seen at least three different S-Bucks on different corners within a block of each other. Granted, it was a Bigger City, but those were based on pedestrian traffic.
Never, ever think all corporations run like Kristy Kreme. If there is a customer base, they will build.
ETA: I once lived in a certain part of Canada where I could see three Tim Horton’s from my balcony and there were two additionally Tin’s within a three minute walk of my apartment.

The whole traffic problem on Sunshine will NOT be diminished by the denial of a coffee place. Traffic and pedestrian safety is already a major problem on Sunshine.
Just wait. Starbucks will get the land, because they can pay more.

Itty Bitty City is huge with my mom friends. I like Phelps Grove Park. You can rent the pavilion, or just commandeer some picnic tables and a grill. Playground right there, plenty of room to run around and yell your head off… opportunities for a scavenger hunt or party games or whatever.

Multiple companies. We have one right next to my workplace, so the hired help swarmed us before their bus left. Like, 15 people from that company.

You have to call CPS and get a lawyer. You may not be able to legally adopt her, but you may be able to become her legal guardian and ensure that not only is she properly enrolled in school, but that she gets therapy for having terrible parents.

As someone who has lived here for 11 years, no, there really aren’t many.
What kind of food are you looking for? I would recommend Rama Thai for Thai, Bambinos for “Italian” or toasted ravs, Gilardi’s for “seasonal Italian”, Nicola’s for Italian better than Gilardi’s, Cafe Cusco for not-quite-Peruvian (they have a fair vegan/vegetarian menu), Greek Belly for Greek/vegetarian food (amazing falafel), SBC for beers and chicken tenders, and Cheddars for better chicken tenders.
Still haven’t found a good onion rings place since Cheddars stopped offering those.
ETA: Haruno for sushi. The only place in land-locked Springfield I actually trust their fish. It can get a bit large and saucy and flame-y, but if you stick to the simple stuff, it’s delicious and, so far, parasite free.
Second ETA: For Mexican: Los Garcias Michoacanos. They have two locations now, both on Sunshine. Took me over a decade to find Good Mexican and they are my favorite. Pro tip: if it’s a dude with a Latin accent taking your order, ask him what his favorite is. You cannot go wrong.

Do NOT call roto-rooters. Excellent service, but subpar for what you may need. All Hours Plumbing, or something like that, is what we used the first time. Excellent service, don’t overcharge, will tell you EXACTLY what is wrong before fixing it (in my experience).

I think it’s A between Strafford and Fordland. Windy, lovely, excellent in good weather. Especially when the leaves start changing color or the trees are in bloom. (Not great in winter or when there’s a flash flood warning, though.)
