Reply to As a female, Why do I tend to mostly listen to female artist more than I do male artist. I wonder why?? by Pingzoot
Female artists tend to write songs that females can relate to more than male artists. However, men have written alot of great songs they can also relate too.

We live in a time of Industry Plants. 80% of all music thats considered popular today is performed by people who have no business in the music industry. The artists today come with lots of extras like sex videos, Having completely clueless opinions on topics, drama over rival performers and an unquenchable appetite for fame. Music was more honest when talent was required just to step into a recording studio.

I always fall back on these things. They were the first popular act to write their own material. They were the first band to gain world-wide celebrity statis. Last they were the first group to have complete artist control over the music they were making. These 3 things opened the flood gates for every artist that followed them. To say they are over-rated is beyond crazy.
