When I was young there was a plaza me and my friend loved to go once a week. Store one was a head shop. Store two was a great mom and pop Italian pizza place and store three was a record shop. We called it guy plaza, we would get high, chow some great pizza, then spend an hour digging through CDs. Damn I miss Guy Plaza LOL

Well you gave my Steve Vai song a 6.5 and that was fair because music hits us all differently. I chose the Vai song because it constantly changes timings. I wanted to pick one that would sound foreign to most music listeners ears. Okay, Pick#2 will come from a completely different angle. The song is New York is Alright if you Like Saxophones by the band FEAR.

Its a good point you made. It would be much better if the artist or bands inducted into the Hall of Fame had a lengthy catalog. Add to that a long-lasting impact on music itself. The fact bands like The Eurythmics got in before Rush is a crime. Thats not a slight against The Eurythmics because they were a great band but against Rush they are much lower on the ladder of rock.

The net killed music. Up to the early 80s artists couldn't even step foot in a studio if they didnt have exceptional talent. These days we have non talented kids turning out complete garbage on the net daily. Another factor is when these talentless hacks get a little attention, they begin introducing their even less talented friends to be on tracks.

CD or Record, the sound depends on the recording process. Recordings like Led Zeppelin- In through the Outdoor and Sting- Ten Summoners Tales sound great on either medium because the production and recording process was flawless. Now, recordings like Metallica- Master of Puppets and David Lee Roth- Eat em and Smile sound poor on both mediums. If CDs were to make a comeback, it would be something like selling CDs with a full size album jacket because some guy in a boardroom thought it was a good idea to increase profit margins.
