Read just about anything by John Irving and you’re likely to get two stories within a story. The World According to Garp, A prayer for Owen Meaney, A Widow for One Year, Hotel New Hampshire are a few off the top of my head that all contain other stories.

Well, she’s an idiot! Nah, I’m sure she’s a nice person who has no taste in film.

I read for enjoyment. I don’t take notes or annotate anything that is t a textbook. Others here have given great ideas. My only suggestion is have you ever read a Spark Notes companion? Maybe that would give you some ideas on what to note: plot, character analysis, imagery, etc.

Mystic River by Dennis Lehane, while the movie was great (Oscars for Penn and Robbins) the characters just come to life and his imagery his amazing.

It will be interesting to see how the filmmakers shoot this to cover up the 7” height difference between Daniel and Al.

I just hate it when I see historical errors. In Firefly Summer by Maeve Binchy she writes a bar scene where everyone will remember November 23rd as the day President John F kennedybdies. He died on 11/22 not 11/23.
