Well, I'm born and raised in shelton. I can't speak to it much over the past 10 years, but I can say it was awful growing up there (nothing to do in the early 2000s) and my family still lives there. The schools are still terrible, or so im told. Violent crime went up - used to live in a pretty safe area. A few years back, a drug deal down the street went wrong and a guy was executed in his house over it. Drugs are an even bigger problem now than it used to be.

Personally, I'd never move back there. Won't raise a family there. No way.

My dad was a truck driver for 30+ years and reinforced into my brain to ALWAYS have my lights on when driving because it's easier to see you with them on than without. Trucks, semi's, big rigs, all have a hard time seeing and have big blind spots. Help those around you see you there. I make sure to always have them on.
