That’s how I feel about train noise. I grew up about half a mile from the tracks and Kingston Station, close enough that it would rattle the light fixtures in our house, and I find the sound of trains in the distance soothing.

I live off West Shore Rd about 2 miles southeast of the airport. I rarely hear a thing. Maybe the occasional plane at night but it’s not any louder than a car from here.

Same! I know my heat is working, but my house is 100 years old so I think it’s just going to be like this today.

I stepped outside just to feel it and scurried right back inside. I have my heat cranking and it’s still only 65 in my house. I can’t decide if it’s a problem or just an old house thing and it’s just going to suck today.

I looked around for other sources and can’t find any.

I just started swimming at McDermott in Warwick. It’s pretty cheap but the hours aren’t great for adult swim (except the weekend).

There was a coin shortage during covid so maybe that’s why places aren’t giving you coins. My old landlord eventually switched to machines that took coins or you could pay via Bluetooth from an app, it was kind of cool.

Where are you located? I used to go to Laundry Club on the east side about once every couple of months. I would get a ton of quarters, do one wash/dry there, and go back when I was out of quarters. They’d charge you if you just used the quarter machine.

I have coworkers that are first generation and speak Spanish, but I don’t want to bug them in the middle of the work day to practice!
