Ha, I bought some smart switch for my old house and learned this the hard way! The neutral apparently carries a tiny bit of current that the smart switch uses to keep its settings of something like that.

I live in Canada and have had a 30x14 out building sitting in cinder blocks for 20 years with no issue. Each cinder block is no a 16x16 paver which is on a base of crushed compacted rock. I have it supported about every 6 feet around the perimeter. It gets down to -20c where I live in the winter.

This is what I just did in a current bathroom remodel. The time before I tried the schluter form board and was not happy with it all all for the price.
