That’s not a bad budget. If you go a tad higher you might be able to get a studio without having to share! Might even get a fitness center and laundry. If you know DC and where you want to live you can also contact apartment buildings directly. Get the number and website of the management company directly from Google Maps but there are lots of sites like apartment .com that list those kinds of places.

Try the network of trails north of Military Road. It’s hard to believe you are in the city. The Western Ridge Trail is the main artery and there are tons of little trails that stem from it. The other main River trail runs adjacent Rock Creek and it’s also nice, but more frequently used.

+1. I think the broth is even better than the Columbia Heights storefront. But sadly they are closing soon. Landlord raising rent.
