They did the impossible. They modernised it while keeping the spirit of the series.

They have an Angel fly down and tell one of the main charachters that she’s terrible at her dream job, that only hookers would use her and that she should give up and join the steno crew.
How do people not understand this is satire?

So while it was still huge in America, I don’t think many Americans realise just how massive Friends was outside of America.
When the reunion happened you would constantly see Americans whinging they did a segment on Friends around the world. And it’s because the creators and actors recognised the popularity.
