I think that part's still there. It was the portion of the mural with Native Americans that got tagged up, and recently buffed. Don't get mad at CLIP, get mad at the turds who tagged over native faces. I guess get mad at both if you want.

People are terrible. The worst trash offender on my block is a $1.2M single family home with a garage. They bring the trash to the street corner and dump it in the public trash bin, or leave it on the ground for the rats to get at.
I went so far as to get a sign made: Don't put household trash in the public trash bin, please don't put it out until the day before it gets collected. During the citywide cleanup day, I caught the guy who was doing it in the process, and asked him - perhaps this is aggressive - if he understood English, and pointed at the sign. He looked at me and said "Nope" and put his trash bag in the public trash bin and walked away.
Turns out the real trash is the people who live in that house.
311 and fines might get the trick done. I haven't gone that route yet.
