I saw another commenter (TheArmchairLegion) suggest that the reason the parents don't move somewhere else is that the entity messes with their mind to ensure that it's prey always remains nearby. If that comment is to be believed, then it is possible it has singled OP out. Could be an interesting theory.

Yeah, but clearly her parent's aren't very responsible and didn't think of that. Since she is starting to shiver and feeling the urge to come out of hiding, I'd say it's safe to bet that he's inside the house.

I'm usually supportive of people coming out of the closet, but just for this scenario, stay inside. Call the police and report a break in. Try tying up your feet and hands with clothes so you can't move, and cover your eyes.

Definitely stock up on whatever seems to be working against the creature hunting you. Maybe find something you can put on yourself to hide your scent. Also consider it's possible that the monster will change from night to night, so stay alert.

It seems from what you described that others cannot see you or the monster when the hunt begins. With that in mind, you should prepare to be all on your own for the next 2 nights.

The creature is clearly nocturnal, so you could try shining a light in its eyes if you're being chased to stun it. Alternatively, you could pour something onto its eyes, like paint or some other thick substance. As well, it seems to have a keen sense of smell. Maybe having it near a rancid scent will disorient it, which would allow you to run if necessary.
