Which is probably why the strip club didn't put the charge as "$9,000 for cocaine off of a stripper's ass" and instead charged it as "service fees". And then videotaped him authorizing the charges after having his high ass calling the cc company authorizing the charges (he mentions this in the comments).
Soooo... prove your statement in a court of law against the credit card company that fronted him the money to conduct his illegal activity that he know owes money to.
The cc company is covered on their end with plausible deniability, especially since none of them were there. And they're not the ones who paid for titties or drugs, so guess what? That falls to OP. He charged it.
But let's pretend the cc company doesn't pay out because what he did was illegal. How does that cancel out the debt to the strip club owners? And are these the kind of guys who'll sue or break your legs to get their money?

Got ya.
Look,, I grew up in Brooklyn and yes there were great pizzerias everywhere. But Sbarro's was the best of large chains. (Dominoes is the worst... it's like cheese on cardboard with hetchup.)

Im just saying how the cc might see it. They weren't there and all they know is he authorized it. Otherwise anyone who makes a crazy purchase on their credit card can say, "I was drunk/high/had a gun to my head when I made the purchase" and get a chargeback and cc companies are not in the business of losing money because you willingly impaired yourself.
Now, the strip club? They knew what they were doing. He needs to go to an attorney before the police for that one.

But would the credit card company consider it fraud? He did authorize the charges, after all, even when the cc was flagging this as an issue. Even his drug usuage wouldn't help him since he voluntarily took the drugs (and his other friend didn't).
Now the strip club? They WERE predatory. 100%. Is there something that can be done against them?

Pro Life Tip: Never make a recipe for the first time for other people.
Always cook it for yourself at least once (probably more to work out the kinks and seasonings, etc.) I often have to change recipes I find online while wondering if the person who wrote the recipe has zero taste buds. Some put more effort into the long-ass pointless story on how they got the recipe than the recipe itself.

Awww.
When I first got mine, he hid under my bed. Including the whole next day when I had to go into the office and leave him alone (I felt horrible about that and wanted to cry and leave the office early, but they wouldn't let me). I finally got him out once I came home with some more food.
The next day (Saturday) he hid under every thing he could hide under. But as a single woman with no kids or prior pets... not everything had been cleaned for a while prior to that. So I'd go, move the object hid under, swept and mopped it.
Did he go back to that freshly clean place? No. He went under something else that I realized hadn't been cleaned in 100 years. So I'd go, sweep/vaccuum and mop. He'd find somewhere else.
About halfway through thoroughly giving my place a good cleaning, it occurred to me the lil asshole was not only doing this on purpose... I think this was his way of critisizing my housekeeping skills. Because once everything was all clean... he sat next to me.
Well played, you lil asshole. Well played.

I find it inconvenient when mine wants to lay on lap while I'm working (I WFH). Then I have to draft documents or answer emails while tying over his head. Finally I have to move him and tell him I need to work and if he wants to get fed, he needs to move so mama can earn money.

I have an orange/white tabby and wear dark clothes. Sometimes I wish I'd gotten a black cat. At least his shedding fur would blend into my clothes.

It happens. I went to take the trash out once wearing not more than a nightgown. Quick in and out type of thing. The main door into the building shut behind me. Luckily I live in apartment building so I buzzed my neighbors and they let me in.
Another time I somehow locked myself out of my apartment. Still not sure how I did that. I learned to pick a lock that day (since apparently a locksmith would've cost like $150)

Right? Even a kaiser roll would be acceptable.
This is fricking regular bread. With the crusts cut off! And in neat squares!
This is a finger sandwich at a snooty party, not a sloppy joe.

Where's the sloppy meat at? Where's the mess?
A good sloppy joe requires no less than 50 napkins.

Thank you! Where's the sloppy?
A Sloppy Joe isn't sloppy unless the meat is running out of the sides and more meat falls out when you bite into it.

Doesn't that always happen? You find a great local place, a real hole in the wall. Then other people also find it because the food is so good. In order to accommodate more people, they expand to a bigger place or maybe multiple locations and suddenly the quality drops.
And then you long for those days when it was a hole in the wall

You really should follow the advice of those who said talk to an attorney and not the cops. You may not be able to get your money back, but you might be able to get this club shut down. Could help the next guy whose thinking like you did.
I mean you could TRY challenging it with your credit card company, but it probably won't do any good.
> We just keep telling ourselves at least we're home, alive, and not in jail.
That really is the most important thing. You're safe at home and not in jail. Or on a gurney in the morgue.
