>”The Penguin” series at HBO Max has added Michael Zegen, James Madio, and Scott Cohen to its cast in recurring roles, Variety has learned exclusively.

>The three join a cast that includes series lead Colin Farrell, who will reprise the role of Oswald “The Penguin” Cobblepot from “The Batman, as well as Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, and Clancy Brown.

>HBO Max is not releasing character details for three new additions, but sources say that Zegen is set to play Alberto Falcone.

>Alberto is the son of Gotham City crime boss Carmine Falcone, who was played by John Turturro in “The Batman,” and the brother of Sofia Falcone, who will be played by Milioti in “The Penguin.” In the comics, Alberto takes credit for being the serial killer known as The Holiday Killer, who targets Gotham gangsters on a holiday each month.

House of Cards. At its height (around season 2 to 3, I'd say), it was one of the best shows on TV, and r/television was all over it. Then real life became more interesting and outpaced what the show could keep up with, Spacey was outed as a predator, and the writing fell off a cliff. Now nobody ever talks about it.

I think that's just one of the issues with watching stuff at home. We have those other distractions and there's no penalty to looking at your phone or talking with someone else. In a movie theater, that's not acceptable (or at least it shouldn't be, I see way too many people pulling out their phones and distracting me with the brightness while the movie's playing). James Cameron made a point about that recently; when you see a movie in the theater, you're consciously choosing to give yourself entirely to a piece of art. All of your attention is on the sight and sound of the movie (or again, it should be) for however long it lasts. The home viewing environment is just entirely different.
