Well obviously the obvious answers are the sopranos, the wire, mad Men, oz, The shield breaking bad.... I assume most people have at least heard of these shows and recognize them as being pretty well received.

But I also have a soft spot for Beverly hills 90210, and Dawson's Creek as a guilty pleasure. Dawson's Creek was an interesting slice of the late '90s because the teens weren't obsessed with popularity like they were in shows like One tree Hill. They were sort of a group of people like the class clown and a film nerd and a poor Joey Potter whose father was in jail and whose mother died.

They sort of snubbed their nose at cheerleading and school sports etc ... And that was sort of what life was like in the late '90s. I don't know if it was the aftermath of Nirvana or whatever, but people sort of snubbed traditional notions of popularity in high school.

Buffy is a pretty good show. It was sort of a time period before all of the shows had been part of the so-called Golden age so there was often a lot more episodes. That meant more filler but also a ton of content.

That could be good or bad.

I love crushers. You can find them for like 85 bucks for the new repair, and it does exactly what it says it's going to do.

Although there is an annoying bug or hiccup where you have to do a reset sometimes to get the base slider to work.

Obviously it's not going to be great for detail retrieval or anything! But it's really fun, not very expensive and worth having in a collection. Imo....

Would help to know the phone. And the hardware. You could have a different dac, codecs.... You could have a bad port or something.

Usually people are not able to tell the difference between consumer facing dacs in phones, unless you're using really high-end stuff and using maybe LG's quad Dac.

But we just don't have enough information about your hardware. And use case.

Is it two copies of the same phone?

If so, they should have basically identical sound, but it's possible one of them has replaced parts or the port could be messed up or something.

I don't know. There's infinite variables so we need more information.

Depending on where you live, you can get the entire YouTube music catalog for free with the ability to download as well. Not if you're on an iPhone, of course though.

Def Leppard hysteria is great for details. There are just hundreds of tracks in the vocals and guitars because mutt lange.

Some of the most layered production I've ever heard. I imagine other mutt lange stuff could also be beneficial, but that album in particular is just kind of a magnum opus in production value.

I also enjoy rush, dire straits.

And some avant-gard stuff like Mike Patton or Mr. Bungle where there's a lot of genre changing.

it's just a matter of taste and use case . This is like asking why some people listen to rock music instead of jazz .

Some people need their headphones for sound isolation bc they're not in a position to play music loud where other people can hear it.

Personally, I don't need to spend $1,000 on a headphone or speaker, I'm more than satisfied at a much lower price point with both. I actually have some headphones and some speakers because they serve different purposes.

Koss kph30i, porta pro and ksc75 had such a great reputation that when the kph40 came out. I think they kind of were sold on reputation. There was also quite a few thirsty YouTube creators that were happy to collect the affiliate link sales on these (ahem zeos)

I never tried them but people I trust told me kph30i we're much better in terms of tuning.

That's very subjective. Certainly don't have the best keyboard, certainly don't have the best audio codec. Certainly don't have the best point and shoot cameras (see MHKBD blind test with 22 million votes sample size where it finished in seventh place. Losing to the Pixel 6a, the Pixel 7, the ZenFone 9, the s22 ultra, oppo, etc...).

Americans just really don't bother trying any other phones, 90% iPhone mostly because they'll be socially isolated if they don't. Apple massive marketing budget has done a good job creating the illusion that their products are superior.

Don't get me wrong on some ways their products are superior, they have the brightest screens, most powerful silicon usually, often loudest speakers. They have a reputation for having the best video although we haven't seen a proper test the way we have point and shoot photography.

But the operating system is so deeply limited it's almost like a toy. Can't download any apps you want but you could get any laptop or any Android phone.

Hell, you can't even use landscape mode on the home screen.

But this is unique to the United States, in every other part of the world, there is a lot more competition and Apple is just another brand.

Was it the local postal service or FedEx or something?

I find usually products like this go through a private mailer. I actually find the post office to be reasonably efficient. At least with domestic mail something like 93% of letters arrived within four business days.

Not bad for a stamp that cost like 70 cents or something.

What do you mean by 45 minutes of backup?

Give me an extra battery life or something?

This seems to be way below market value so it's either a great deal or it's too good to be true or it's defective or something.

If it is a legitimately functional pair, $45 is a extremely competitive price

That's a good deal. It's a pretty old product but a lot of people prefer the tuning of this generation to the last two and if memory serves it actually also apt-x.

If anything, it might sound too good to be true. At least based on a cursory research of eBay for used models which are flirting with 100 bucks. Sometimes more.

I can't speak to the battery replacement situation but just generally speaking, $45 for a refurb XM3 would be good value.

$45.. . My fear is it might be in worse condition because the price is so low. Seems like a reasonable bargain if there's a legitimate return and it's not "as is."

If it is as is, be aware you're taking a risk of some sorts. But the benefit would be great if it paid off.

You probably don't need one. Honestly even if you did want one you might want to consider just getting like a used LG V60 instead.

The only thing I ever bought is a qudelik 5k, But that was as much about the Bluetooth and parametric EQ as it was the DAC.

Basically unless your headphones or iems are not loud enough you do not need more power.

I don't like the aesthetic at all. Find one of the more cringy things in the entire hobby.

Just don't get with the appeal is of scantily clad 14 year old Asian women on the cover of iem boxes.

When I watch zeos videos and he sexualizes these images are genuinely find it disturbing. In a recent video he's self-identified as a "creepy waifu guy."
