No, I do understand all of that, and I don't like the extreme swings either. My comment was purely about the fact that we've seen such temps before.

Yeah, I mean I remember in Jan/Feb 2019 there was a solid week of subzero temps during the daytime - my car even registered -22 F at like 6 AM.
This winter has been absolutely mild in comparison. I've only had to run the snowblower twice.

I went to Atlanta for a wedding - it was a neat place. The suburbs are really pretty and Rhodes Hall (the venue) was gorgeous. However I enjoyed coming back into Vermont.

I lived in Littlefork for a few years. Can confirm. Oh, and they get tornados there too.

Reply to Vermont votes to be 1st state to enshrine abortion rights in state constitution by Ilikereddit420
I'm glad we did this, but I fear that if the Reds win the White House in '24, abortion rights will magically no longer be a "states issue".

Having lived in this state for nearly 40 years I have to call bullshit. Out of staters typically do NOT know how to deal with the roads, weather, or wildlife. I've driven all over the country and Vermont has some of the more twisty, winding roads ever. Come ski season they become hazardous unless you know the limits of your car and conditions. And I'm not even talking about the cultural aspects of Flatlander-ness.
