You didn’t like the world-building in a brand new IP that’s setting itself away from the traditional Spider-Man multiverse? I’m not going to tell you how to like your games, but your criticism is odd to say the least.
The game was a phenomenal masterpiece, man. The Peter Parker story is often overlooked in favour of Spider-Man’s adventures so it was an awesome change of pace to see him balancing the work life and home life and relationship problems all while having to fight off various crime syndicates and supervillains. I’ve also never totally loved the “and now this one shows up just after you beat this guy!” storytelling. It feels rushed.
1/4 into the game isn’t very far either. There’s a huge ramp up and then you’re fuckin’ IN so I encourage you to continue playing but that’s obviously your call.
