If you throw your ghoul mask on before entering, you might make a friend.

Cranbury and east windsor sound up your alley, plenty of farmland out there still, I grew up in the area and it’s great, my cousin actually owns the field of terror Halloween attraction and runs a full time farm in east windsor, but it’s developed enough that it doesn’t feel like the country, it’s about an hour to Philly and nyc, NJ transit Princeton is about 15 mins away. If all my work wasn’t in north jersey I’d head back in a heartbeat

If you go to mountain creek they have a beginner area that’s not even on the mountain and then there’s a smaller area to learn before going to the first lift which takes you up a fairly small hill, that’s honestly the spot to go, or just do like I did back in the day, strap in and send it and eat shit for the afternoon haha, you’ll most likely learn how to plow heelside first because it’s easier, once you get that down you’ll be able to turn left and slow yourself (provided you’re regular footed). After that it’s just a matter of learning toe side turns which can be scary cause if you catch an edge you’re eating shit onto your back. I dated a girl once and taught her to ride and she’d only turn left and she rode pretty well for years, eventually you’ll get it! Good luck, 27 is a bit late to the game but your body will still heal fairly quick!

Reply to Music/Record Stores in Northern NJ? by tmantuck
Sound exchange in Wayne is your best bet, tons of rare vinyl and cds, pretty sure the dude has a treasure trove of cassettes in the basement too if you ask, haven’t been there in a while but that was always my go to physical store especially since vintage vinyl closed

We knew the state wouldn’t allow any small time mom and pop shops to get a slice, that’s the way it goes, still have to continue growing and selling on the street, it does nothing to stop crime and actually raises street prices because stores charge obscene amounts for product, this actually helps street dealers

And that’s my whole point, an adult shouldn’t be trying to live off minimum wage especially with a family, go to school and get a degree, learn a trade skill, there are so many ways to further yourself and make good money and not have to rely on minimum wage being increased. The fact is people are lazy and want their slice while not having to do anything for it, I struggled through my 20s with credit debt, I went back to college and finished my degree in my 30s, the degree wasn’t what I wanted and I ultimately turned to a trade skill and I couldn’t be happier. The point is I never stopped trying to better myself and now I make over 150k a year and I did that through hustle and determination.

I dunno, 50k a year for even the most trivial job a teenager could do seems a bit much, 14 is 28k a year for a job that requires no education or skills and that seems pretty decent to me. The problem is people feel entitled to make more when they do nothing to further themselves, minimum wage isn’t meant to be able to afford a nice place and buy nice things.

Wallington, Kearny and Newark have the best shops around and are worth the drive, I know there used to be a good spot on van houten in Clifton but I haven’t been down that way in a few years

Worst sandwich chain around these days, shame because the one on route 10 in whippany was so good back in day, they’d stack the shit out of the Italian. I’ll gladly eat a Wawa or quickchek sub over mikes

Yea a 6 pack of grade a large eggs used to be .99, now goes for 3.99, since I throw half away before they expire I won’t be buying eggs anytime soon, if there’s egg shortage there should be a chicken surplus right? Did hens just decide to stop laying one a day?
