Apparently tossing the cups on the ground is a common thing because they get swept up. With that being said I was so worried about slipping on a cup at the water stations.

This was my second year running. The local folks cheering us on kept me going. It was the group with Believe signs that gave me the biggest boost, plus the aforementioned cookies.
The Fife and Drum group at that awful hill in Rock Creek Park and the GoGo Band towards the end of the race were my favorites.

Yup. It happens the same time every year. For at least a decade. They announce the route far in advance.

I’ve lived in the DC area for 18 years. 8 of which in NE DC. My paternal side of the family are DC natives. Also based out of NE. So I know the area pretty well.
Trinidad has come all long way, but I would still avoid Bladensburg road. I hate to say it, but it’s still hella sketchy.
Other parts of NE are fine. I lived in Hill East for a while, currently in Eckington. Bloomingdale, Noma, and other parts of Trinidad are generally safer.

you can also bring food from the bar up to your seat.
They have a decent happy hour that ends at 7pm. What I’ve been doing is ordering my first drink and app at the bar, then second drink and popcorn in the theater.

I live in Judd and Weiler at Quincy Lane. I was pleasantly surprised the soundproofing. I can occasionally hear my upstairs neighbors walk around, and some outside noise, but that’s it.
I’m on a higher level that faces interior for what it’s worth.

Not in one501 but close by. My building sent two emails to residents. The first was that there was a a situation and they’d follow up once they knew more, the second with more detail(someone was barricaded in the building).
The way my unit is positioned I had no clue anything was even happening. I didn’t even see the emails until after the fact. I do appreciate the fact they did loop us in at least.
