I see your point. The 401K thing is so perplexing. I have a feeling more companies will do the same unless the federal government steps in.

Isn't Gen Z less likely to want to work for a company that has in office requirements compared to one who doesn't though?

I remember being on the first floor of that place and watching the dance floor bounce up and down above me.

My workplace used to have holiday parties there before covid and they were fine, but they also restricted entry to only people who were with my job.
I can imagine though on the weekends it's full of the most obnoxious suburbanites in the area.

Yeah, I definitely remember them charging that much in the mid 2010s. No cover charge either as far as I know

What makes you so special you think you should get out of doing it when the vast majority of other people oblige even if they don't like it?

On the way to Toronto we always stopped at that rest stop, and it was always a little exciting because you only had about a half hour of driving left until you would cross the border from there.

Train derailments have dropped by 75% in the last 50 years.

It literally does, and they happen nowhere near as often as they did 50 years ago.

I was in the Baltimore area a few weeks ago, and they were saying the same thing. Few places are open after 10:00 or 11:00 anymore there too.

I'm figured more than a few people on here have some things they'd want to secure or maybe trim a branch or two if they knew in advance.

Claiming train derailments are happening more and more is flat out not true.

Possibly getting worse. More powerful storms and more extreme temperature differences can cause more strong winds.

I've been pretty lucky with a lack of power outages in the four years I've lived in my apartment, so hopefully that can continue again this weekend.

Thanks for adding that. I just saw the image on Twitter without mention of a wind gust speed that would go with the extreme category, but I was kind of thinking it would be 60 or even higher.
Looks like a repeat of or even worse than last Saturday.

I don't think there's anything wrong with your advice of continuing to look at what's out there if they extend an offer to him. All of this feels like it's just to keep the commercial real estate market from collapsing.
