Horsman BBQ is a pop-up that has a small changing menu but it is very good. He's usually at What Cheer Tavern every other Sunday and occasionally has pop-ups at other places like the Gansett Brewery in PVD or in Pawtuxet Village during the Gaspee Days. I'd say to follow his IG.

Durks is pretty good. I personally enjoy them, but it doesn't compare the a true southern BBQ joint. It's the best brick and morter spot in the greater Providence area that I can think of.

BBQ seems like a strange thing where what one person says is great another will say is trash, so you just gotta try it for yourself.

I heard people talk up Wes' Ribhouse in Olneyville, I went once and it was truly horrible.

B.T.'s Smokehouse in Sturbridge MA was a place that my friend made sound like it was gonna be the best bbq I ever had. I went once and it was good. Did not live up to the hype, but there was nothing bad. It wasn't worth the 45 minute wait, tho.

Enjoy the experience of checking out places!

I hope you find something ASAP.

I'm leaving my current apartment at the end of the month, but my landlord wants to use my apartment (one side of a duplex) while he renovate some things on his side. Not sure how long it will take him, but if you are still searching in March then message me and I'll try to connect you guys.

I hope you find something before then, tho.

As some others said, that is asking a lot for the price in the Providence area. You might not be able to check all those boxes without exceeding your price range.

I am moving out of my apartment (bought a house), and this apartment is $1,800. Just to give you an idea: It is 3 floors if you count the loft area, 2 full bedrooms and 1 room that is more like an office. In unit laundry but no dishwasher and does not include utilities. Is about 5 min outside of PVD and is dog friendly.

Not sure about restaurants, but I regularly go solo to some small bars and breweries in PVD and have made a bunch of friends at those places. Food is usually more pub food or food trucks though, but I imagine the environment is more conducive to talking to people than a true restaurant is.

Saw somebody mentioned the beer club meeting at Moniker, and across the street is Beer on Earth and Slow Rhode, both nice small places with cool people. Also nearby is Kimi's.

Edit: to add What Cheer Tavern in terms of friendly divey-bar. That's my go-to spot and I'm not sure I've ever seen someone come in and NOT make friends (if you're outgoing enough to talk to strangers).
