Hell sorry about your family but on the kinda cursed evil book side you have acquired one of if not the best magic types in existence just behind magic for Magic’s sake you got rune magic probably the most versatile their is here is some advise get a thin steal stick with a sharp point so you can draw on about any solid surface and it can’t be erased vary easily without destroying the object written on also have a tiny backup like if you have ever watched naruto pein has steal straight pin earring something like that just in case you lose the staff it would also be a good idea to find some massive pieces of paper a draw doors on them for quick access to a teleportation role them up into scroll and keep them on you at all times also a general tip for any rune mage NEVER and I mean Never run into a situation where you don’t already have runes drawn on every serface of that place a rune mages best asset is their ability to prepare for anything and everything if you get time to prepare a room the size of a portapoty should be able to kill a dragon and stall a god giving you time to teleport away with a door to somewhere where you have a safe house that could kill a god so remember your gratest steangth is preparation

Also for conformation ruin magic leans a lot towards intent for example that door you made didn’t work until you thought of a place so you can go, also runes don’t just mean confusing symbols and all that they are about the meaning behind those symbols for example again your door you made while yes we know what is behind the door rather it be another room or the outside a door can mean a lot of things but a the drawing you made by common sense would not open and even if it did it would Lead to nothing but as soon as you gave the door meaning gave it your intent on what you wanted to happen and where you wanted to go the proverbial door opened to where it was meant to be like if you had just stepped through a door and went to the other side also cool thing about doors is just how broad they can be but if you added the intent to the door that you wanted it to an inescapable prison it would do so the trick is being as vage but also specific like a room with no windows and an invincible locked door while it could be different for you think of the most inescapable thing you can and then open the door and kick the thing you don’t like through it and close the door
