A little unconventional/out of the box but for the ceremony, the pier/gazebos at Gorton Pond in Warwick would be pretty I think. It’s really picturesque. You’d want to go somewhere separate for a reception. Depending on your party size and budget, Vanda is just down the road from there and the food is delicious.

If you’re planning in April, Newport has a bunch of areas covered in daffodils that make for some really beautiful pictures. There’s Dunlap Wheeler park next to first beach that ends up as a beautiful daffodil-covered park that would be really pretty.

Rocky point park has the big hill overlooking the water, or two beach areas.

The topiary garden in Newport is really pretty too but costs some admission to get in. Lovely gardens/grounds though.

Winterhawk vineyard in Kingston is tucked way back in the woods and is rustic and pretty. I went on a wine tasting there and the guy who runs it was so incredibly, earnestly nice and accommodating I’m betting he’d work with whatever budget you have to make an elopement special.

I’m just off Warwick Ave, near Larry’s liquors and Dons Pizza and the most we ever get is a very sporadic low thunder-rumble type sound (except for the day the blue angels were in town). We had looked at a few houses in Warwick before settling in this one. Main Ave and Carpenter st were other locations we looked at and they had loud airplane noise and a ton of traffic.

Your realtor might know what kind of airport noise you’ll get in the places you’re looking at. One question to keep in mind for any house is to ask if it’s in an area where the airport pays to replace the windows every few years. That’ll give you an idea of noise as well.

Omg those chocolate croissants were basically a staple in our household! I’ve been missing them and haven’t found a good replacement. I agree with you- the new ones totally suck.

I think Dave’s has them sometimes but not in a 4-pack like S&S used to.

Bit of a hike from Attleboro but worth it in my opinion: Spa Thayer in Narragansett, in the plaza across from the Towers. I recommend them for two reasons:

  1. They usually run Buy One Get One Half Off gift certificates, so you can a really good deal on like a massage and a facial service. And I think around this season they might also have a deal where it’s like, spend 100 get an additional 25 or something like that. But overall they run sales like these fairly often and I always like to try and jump on them.

  2. Their services are unique and FANTASTIC. I got a 90 minute massage there that included hot stone and some kind of full body scrub. It was transcendent.

I’ve made the drive from Attleboro down to there and it’s only like 40 mins or so, so it’s not bad. And if you go together you can have a meal and nice drinks at Trio which is in the same plaza.
