Looks like millipedes. Tis the season here in the US. I just started spotting the little bastards on my walls. No idea how they're getting in.

It's a terrible self-fulfilling prophecy. The longer it takes, the worse your prospects become. As a hiring manager I know that long periods between employment is a huge red flag. At some point you just gotta lie and tell people you took a year or two off to find yourself or something. Good luck out there.

My grandmother is in a cemetery that has watering cans and other gardening equipment for rent like this. It's so you can tend to any flowers you leave at the grave. Honestly it always seemed like a racket to me - The place charges you annually if you plant flowers. They charge you a fee if you let the flowers die and they have to remove them. And they charge you to rent gardening equipment to maintain the flowers.

"I don't know about you, but I don't want my tax money going towards yet more god damn government oversight." - Some Republican who at some point will cut funding to said licensing agency.

Culpability. It's much harder for Apple, who's ultimately responsible for their poorly-trained employees' actions, to get away with stuff like that. They're way too big with way too much government oversight. The public outrage alone would be palpable, with demands for Apple to pay. Meanwhile if Joe Blow jail breaks some stolen iPhones no one outside of law enforcement and those affected would know.
