There's a bar in Austin TX made out of shipping containers called Container Bar lmfao. Very hipstery, very expensive... naturally

My mom's friend and her husband bought a few triple deckers in Fitchburg/Leominster for dirt cheap and fixed them up and rented them out as their retirement hobby. This was about 15 years ago. Became a very lucrative hobby lol

My cousin has worked at UMass for 15 years ("unskilled" service position, but it's union and everything) and only makes $20/hr. He got priced out of Worcester. Had to move to Southbridge to find an apartment less than $1000.
Granted, he has some intellectual disabilities and could probably find resources to help with housing, but he doesn't want to.
It's sick that someone who has been with the largest employer in the city for 15 years isn't paid enough to live here.

I ended up being fine- yay!

I wasn't asking about during the declared ban, just in general.
It baffles me how they track it without meters. I've heard of meter maids writing down plate #s with a pen and paper the old fashioned way, or marking the tires/pavement with chalk. But I'm not sure I've ever seen it in practice.

The further I scroll the more torn I become! Love this idea. Gotta get pics for the gram 😜 My friend lives in CT and always insists on driving, but I'll see if I can convince her to make the drive. Thanks so much!! You're very kind.

This is looking like it'll be the winner! I've been once several years ago and I was drunk, so I'm thinking a new visit is in order. Thanks so much!!

I live on Elm St. I’m happy here. Walking distance to downtown, Highland st, Elm Park/Park Ave. Also pretty quiet at night. There’s a few halfway houses that sometimes start mischief but I’ve never feared for my safety. It’s a good walkable area while still being safe IMO.

Same thing happened to me. The woman I spoke to at Reliant said no one was accepting new patients, she wasn't at liberty to tell me when there would be openings, but to call on Monday and Wednesday mornings.
Not sure if it was a fluke, but FWIW I called the following Wednesday at 9am and they had a couple docs accepting new patients. Unfortunately none in Worcester, but I got one in Westboro which isn't awful.
I figure I won't be making the drive out there often. I mainly just need a name to give BCBS for referral purposes and rx refills.
Worth a shot I guess.
