I've been sleeping on Continental Westhampton. I've been twice in the last two weeks and daydream about when I can go back. The salmon rueben was incredible! I'm also a fan of the breakfast of champions (breakfast nachos.) My kids got the dessert breakfasts (bananas foster waffles and french toast) and they were both so delicious and huge portions! The greek yogurt whipped cream is truly outstanding. On our next visit I'm super eager to try their Baked Alaska!

We also tried Hotpot 757 and I can't see I'll need to rush back. It was fun and the place was hopping, but I never really found anything that knocked my socks off. The sauce bar is intimidating and our server wasn't super helpful when I asked for sauce pairing recommendations. We ended up at Kuba Kuba Dos afterwards for their tres leches cake and an espresso which totally hit the spot!

Hellebore, passionflower, black-eyed Susan, hydrangea. But if you have deer, they will mow down your hydrangea. The rest are pretty deer-resistant.

People who went to see Chris Rock last night (or Tuesday) - what did you think of the show? It was our third time seeing him and it was really good, but not awesome. Maybe my memory has failed me, but I don't remember his shows being AS raunchy and filthy as this one was. I guess I expected more of a comedic deep dive into the social and political mess that we're currently experiencing, but what we got was more of a TED Talk on pussy. I'm curious what others thought.

We had an Old Hollywood themed wedding at the restored Art Deco Henrico Theatre in Highland Springs and it was only like $500 to rent the whole theatre since it’s technically a Henrico County park. We moved to Main Street Station for the reception and that wasn’t very expensive to rent either.
