The fact that Hannibal Rising came after the fact makes this lack of consistency more unforgivable, not less.
The fact that Red Dragon (and the other books) existed, and presented a fleshed out profile of Hannibal should have been taken into account when writing Hannibal Rising.

Reply to The Collector by John Fownles by Danercore
I loved The Magus, but it might not be for everyone. It’s definitely a more challenging read than The Collector. But, if you end up liking it, it’s amazing.
One word of advice… beware the waiting room.

Reply to (Spoilers)Stephen King's Later is perhaps one of the worst books I have ever read in my life by PsychoBalloons
Slow down. If you're thinking about basing your entire opinion on Stephen King on Cell and Later, you're making a big mistake.
Rather than suggesting you dive into one of his huge (and amazing) works like It or The Stand, I'm going to make the recommendation you ease into it. Maybe move on to the Different Seasons collection of novellas to see if you have the potential to be a King fan.
If you read those four stories and still don't appreciate King, I think it's then safe to conclude that he's not for you.

I read exclusively on a Kindle, and I use the dictionary feature a ton. Any word that I don’t know, I look up. The feature is well implemented, and I love it.
