The vast majority of people see it as a PONZI scheme but you, you are the smartest guy in the room. You are equipped with the insults and all the facts because you understand blockchain technology. You think those invested in Bitcoin are the future and the US Government can’t squash it at any moment. So naive.

The party was over the moment it crashed.

Blockchain technology may be the future but any form of investment that uses it now will be the AOL of the future.

You don’t like being fact checked and looking like an idiot. You also don’t understand trends, obviously. Someone can come out with Butthole coin tomorrow. If it gets the hype it makes Bitcoin worthless. The $ has proven durability and is backed by the most powerful nation in the world. You suck BTW

Ha. Nice try. The number is 5k percent from zero. I just checked . It’s actually down 15% from this day 5 years ago and 67% from one year ago. Your comment is as good as your facts. Bullshit

What has Owning Bitcoin done to anyone who invested at $69k and is still holding at $17k. My savings has certainly taken a hit but HOLY SHIT, I’m so happy it wasn’t in any of these other options.

Bitcoin would be useless if it still wasn’t able to sucker people into thinking they can get rich. The people who own it should sell before the value goes to $0….Where it belongs. My ATM card has almost eliminated the use of actual cash. I could live without any item that requires it now.

Something tells me that people who think this is racist wouldn’t live in an all black neighborhood. I know the demographics of Reddit. Primarily white, urban males who live in white neighborhoods and love to preach social injustice. They scream about not being able to afford a home but that’s because they won’t consider minority neighborhoods. Philadelphia still has some of the most affordable housing in the US. Set your search parameters to $100k and you will find livable homes. Don’t let your racism be your guide. Be a part of making these neighborhoods better and help increase those appraisals.

Your house is only worth what similar homes in the neighborhood sell for. If you put in a bunch of upgrades it will attract buyers but the banks look at numbers. My home in Frankford is really nice. I might get $180k but chances are it will asses for less because the surrounding homes sell in the $160k range. Mine being nicer is irreverent. Now if someone comes in with a cash offer or big down payment. I will probably get asking. That will change the appraisals in the area slightly upwards. Demand and ability to pay mortgages increase appraisals. Period

Those are all metal cornices. Chances are it can be easily removed, scraped and a few holes repaired before painting. Don’t be overwhelmed by what you can’t see. It definitely shouldn’t cost more than my estimate. If everything in intact I would suggest you consider more than one color, to enhance the beauty. The difficulty is in finding a contractor, not the cost. Sorry I can’t help you with that. Everyone I know in the industry is swamped because of all the gentrification over the last few years. Be patient

It really depends on the house and type of cornice. Wooden ones are obviously more expensive if things need to be replaced. I would assume the siding coving it was mainly because they didn’t want to paint it. I did 4 over the years. I rented a lift, got a heat gun and a scraper and went to town. The work isn’t that hard but the lift and labor will probably cost you around $3000. It adds at least that much to the value of your home if you do it right. Factor that into your decision. If I knew your block I might be able to give you more advice.

It’s still very hard to find a contractor in Philadelphia. My suggestion would be to wait till spring anyway. Hopefully it can be restored. Those cornices really give so much character to city homes.
