Well, at a guess I'd say that we would use our own for an example. We can use machines to see where different neurons fire across a human brain, so we can quantify and measure thoughts in a way. This would give us a way to measure the electric currents and use an allegorical chart to measure it against a healthy human brain.
Not an AI expert, and I'm sure there are holes in the logic somewhere but these are my first thoughts on it.

Dopamine is a mood altering substance (the definition of a drug) produced by your own brain. There's no technically, it just is. Which also means falling in love is just tripping balls on natural drugs your brain makes.

This was my issue as well. I'm sure there are 37 rural countries that collectively have significantly less emissions than the city of Singapore or New York City. It feels like the data is being presented to garner sympathy for a specific point of view, it's sets off my "sus" alarm and I don't trust it..
