Nether of those brands were sold in Australia in the early 1900 when she would have ether bought them or given them as a wedding gift.
Regardless she lifted the big old Dutch oven on and off the AGA wood stove with ease. Still doesn’t explain why they need to do so much lifting with a pan , when l use mine I put it on the trivet and cook , doesn’t move till I wash it .

I find this hard to fathom as I watched my 90 year old grandmother use cast iron !
What exactly are you doing with it that makes it hard to handle ?

I would look for a second hand gravel bike for your needs.
I wouldn’t discount old cyclocross bikes even the real old ones , I ride a thirty year old Alan cyclocross every day only cost me €100.00
What I’d be looking for.
GRAVEL: Scott , Specialised , Cannondale , Trek , Kona
vintage cyclocros: Alan , Wilier , Bianci , Peugeot , Motobecane , Eddy Merckx , Colnago

Barn coats or wax jackets are probably best for light yard work

I have the one in the second picture but when l bought it it was called a “ water bag “ , it’s over 10 years old now and been all over the world but it’s a bit big for weekend trips.
l also have a briefcase bag but I find it too small for most things so it just stays in my work truck with pens pads and my industry bylaw.
have you looked at Col Littleton leather goods ?
