CMP will lose all of its customers if it doesn't constantly innovate, invent, compete, and produce new methods of delivering power more efficiently and affordably. Oh wait... no. Sorry, that would be a real company that's not a monopoly. Silly me.

Sounds about the same. Climbed it a couple years ago with good weather and clear skies. Maybe a dozen people at the very top at one time, and maybe 50 or so people just below the summit, either coming up or down. But spread out pretty evenly so it didn't feel crowded at all. There's a big rock scramble passed the tree line that does a good job of slowing the traffic flow lol.

I didn't see that when I played varsity soccer in HS. Everyone showed up, even in summer. It was always bad coaching if there was an issue. Coaches would be replaced frequently. They would pick favorites who would always end up choking when it mattered most or got reckless fouls. We had coaches who prioritized scrimmages over technique building exercises. We had few players with natural talent and years of experience, a lot of players with great physical ability but bad technique and response to gameplay, and the last 20% was all kids who just wanted to kick the ball really hard from half field. So you could blame the players, but the coaches didn't spend enough time teaching kids how to actually make plays and the ball forward. It just felt like they were praying for the same 3 kids to score every game and as soon as we conceded one goal they would start subbing fully capable players.

I haven't seen any housing developments. All I've heard from builders is that they're not doing developments and they're 2 years out on building homes. I'd gladly build a house than deal with these crappy homes that everyone is trying to sell for half a million. They are shit boxes built in the 70s. Hell, people are trying to sell 100 year old homes that can't even fit a fridge in the kitchen for 450k. Crappy layouts, wallpaper, old roof, old heating, gravel driveway, garage that can't even fit a modern car. This is what you'll find everywhere.

Just remember, it's too expensive to bury the powerlines so instead of saving and investing for that, they figured commercials, mail leaflets, donations, and funding political campaigns was better use of their customers' money. Gotta love legal monopolies. Spectrum is just as bad. The government needs to open the state up for competition. The roads are already shit I don't care if you need to tear them up to lay some cable if it's going to prevent outages. Wanna know how things get cheaper? You compete and use r&d to figure it out. It's not rocket science. Never had any issues with my neighborhood underground power. Nothing to fix. But the power pole a mile down the road? Gets fucked by a tree branch every wind storm. Same pole. Every storm.

Wtf are you even insinuating? It's not a trustful company? When did Hannaford sell local only food? In the 1800s? They have distribution centers throughout the East coast. The product they get from vendors is no different than the product going to other chains. All that Hannaford brand stuff comes from private label companies that sell the same product to other chains. I can assure you the Rotisserie chicken they are selling did not come from the Netherlands. They were owned by a Belgian company since 2000. I promise you didn't even know what an avocado was in the year 2000.

Usually higher hourly pay like $25 requires a specific skill or is earned after a few years starting at a lower wage. A salary of $52k which is the equivalent of $25/hr is going to be easier to find. Many companies in Maine have entry level jobs paying that. Small store managers, analysts at banks and law firms, catering and events specialists, marketing coordinator, Account executive, warehouse receiver lead, materials handler to name a few.

There's an apple orchard nearby and if you GPS to that orchard it brings you to this road. You want to take the road that comes after this one. I saw this sign last month.
