Probably the biggest strike against the SVO at the time was that it was THE most expensive Mustang you could buy at the time, and it wasn't any quicker in a straight line than a GT. Especially not after the 5.0L was bumped up over 200 hp in '86.

The turbo Mustangs of that era were 2.3L fours, and the GT could be had with that engine at the time as well as the 5.0. I knew someone who had a GT Turbo back in the day.

And of course there was also the SVO from '84 to '86, but this is definitely not one of those.

A sadist and a masochist are out on a date. Near the end of the evening the masochist says, "I suppose now you're going to take me home, chain me up in your basement and beat me, right?"

The sadist replies, "No."

I remember seeing a local band called Psychotic Symphony back when I lived in LA County. They had a similar thing going on with everyone wearing masks, plus costumes (the lead guitarist was in a nun's habit). This was around the same time Mr. Bungle was gaining attention.

And of course by that time GWAR had been a thing for a while.
