To his credit, Slash has been sober for many, many years now.

Damn, she's beautiful. And yes, I know she's a teenager in this pic, but at the time it was taken I was a teen myself. :)
I remember her more from Career Opportunities, though.

BTW, McEnroe does play guitar. I remember seeing him in an ad for Kramer Guitars with EVH and Vitas Geralitis (sp?) back in the '80s.

That is not what I'd expect a woman named Geraldine to look like.

Yeah, I like the '77 SE just because Smokey & The Bandit made it a cultural icon - plus it sent Trans Am sales through the roof. If I were looking for a performance model, I'd pick either an LS-1 powered 4th-gen or a '73 with the SD455.
I can still remember when Ford introduced the 5.0 HO engine in the '82 Mustang, and the car rags were so excited that it made 157 hp (which to be fair was a big improvement over the outgoing 4.2L V8 that made about 120 hp and couldn't be had with a stick).

It was quite an eye-opener to look up a contemporary road test in C&D of a '77 Trans Am with the "high-output" 400 and a 4-speed manual - and find out it had a 0-60 time and top speed on par with my 1990 Mazda Miata (around 9 seconds and 115 mph, respectively).

I dunno. Even though I know it's not fast, I'd still rather go with a '77 Trans Am SE.
Fun fact - my family at one time owned a '78 Buick Estate Wagon that had the same Olds 403 under the hood that powered automatic-equipped Trans Ams of that same year.

Not in the late '40s - the T-bird didn't appear until 1955.

Reply to A bear walks into a bar. by RibaldPancake
A bear walks into a bar and says to the bartender, "Gimme a beer!"
The bartender replies, "This bar doesn't serve beer to bears."
The bear says, "C'mon, just this one time."
The bartender again replies, "This bar doesn't serve beer to bears."
The bear then walks over to a woman sitting at the bar, kills her, and eats half her body. He then says to the bartender once more, "Give me a fucking beer!"
The bartender calmly answers, "This bar doesn't serve beer to bears who do drugs."
"What??" says the bear.
The bartender replies, "That was a bar bitch you ate."

Same here - born in 1967.
And in any case, at this time my family didn't go out to eat very often. Dad was less than ten years into his teaching career, and I'm not sure whether Mom worked at the time (I also have a younger sister, born in '70).
